Selection of Films

In order to be eligible for selection, the films presenters must fill out the pre-selection entry form, exclusively online on the website www.budafest.eu or on Festhome website

Deadline: 10th September 2016. Invited films will receive an entry form to be duly completed and returned no later than 30th September 2016. See also the Festival's Regulations full text.

BUDAFEST OFFICIAL SELECTION

International selection of features and short films.

The films must be Hungarian première.

BUDAfast contest

Speedy section dedicated to very fast short films (maximum 3 minutes) of all over the world.

From 1 to 100 filmmaker can be selected in this section to take part to a feature collective film of 100 minutes. Not their short movies but the filmmakers will be selected to make a tutorized movie.

A selection of the movies sent to this section will be presented in our fan zone in internet and can receive the Audience Awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

MAGYAR SELECTION

Section dedicated to all Magyar films (shorts and Features).

For the selection you must subtitle your Magyar movie in English or send us a list of dialogues in English.

Films in this section can be choosed for the BUDAFEST Official Selection to insidacabile judgment of the selectors.

Short Films in this section are not entitled in the BUDAfast section.

So, if your film is less than 3 minutes, maybe you prefer apply for the BUDAfast selection.

In this case, you can apply directly for BUDAfast. You can also apply twice: for MAGYAR selection and for the BUDAfast selection
